I've just returned from having a colonoscopy (Yeah, I know that's TMI!), so I'm not in the best of moods, not after having been starved for more than a day, having suffered from induced diarrhea for over 24 hours and then having something very uncomfortable used in a very un-natural manner on my backside.
Therefore, in order to post and get this over with I've come up with a list of 'NEW' guns (I know in my case it's a relative term) I would like to see next week at the Shot Show.
They are the following:
1. Some sort of Merwin & Hulbert reproduction revolver that would retail for under $1,000.
2. You would think that with modern CNC machining centers it wouldn't be THAT difficult to come up with a new version of the 1903 or 1908 Colt 'Hammerless' Pocket pistols in either .32 Auto or .380 ACP?
3. I know I'm out of step but I would love to see an actual rebirth of the Colt double action "Agent" 6 shot, lightweight, swing-out cylinder, snub nose revolver. Today good ones are almost impossible to find, but they're still as good or better than anything new on the market.
4. I would like to see a semi-auto AR-15 format carbine in either 9x19mm or .40 S&W caliber that would use surplus UZI magazines (low cost & widely available). Too many urban indoor gun-ranges won't allow the use of bottle-necked ammo on their backstops and this type of product would allow the urban dweller the chance to own a functioning centerfire AR-15 carbine and work with it and its controls on a regular basis.
5. I know this is JUST ME, but I would like to see the return of the Ruger Redhawk in .41 Magnum, if only for a special limited run.
Instead, I'm sure we'll see more variations of the basic 1911 pistol and the AR-15 carbine or some new form of pistol with yet another polymer frame, which isn't bad, but it's not near as imaginative as seeing a new production Merwin & Hulbert large caliber, double action revolver.
What's on YOUR wish list?....

I'd love to see a Glock pistol caliber carbine, I'd like to see a "Champion" sized EMP from Springfield Armory. I'd like to see some progress on the Colt SP901 being made available (pricing would be nice) I'm with you on the Colt revolvers, I just managed to snag a pretty nice '77 Detective Special, but an aluminum model would have been preferable...
Break open LeMat, .410 center, .357 ring.
Affordable semi-auto FG.42.
I love the idea of modern Colt "hammerless" and Agent.
Terry
A mini DA .22 Mag revolver. 5 shot would be good. Lower the price, the better.
I would like to see an afordable progressive reloader with a digital scale after the powder drop.
Concur on the Colt Hammerless :-)
Bren Ten, as I missed the initial hype.
Marlin 336 XLR series in 270.
Rock River Arms makes an AR carbine that uses Uzi-like mags. I need to buy an Uzi mag to try. Make sure the mag drop cutouts are the same. Also, S&W makes a two J-frame .22 magnums. Model 351PD and 351C.
Somebody remake the Savage 99
Gerry
+1 on the Colts, While you are at it a Diamondback ;)
I'd also like to see a Sig single stack like the old 225 in .40. The 239 just points funny.
Dave, Sig is planning on releasing an upscaled version of their 238 in 9mm, the 938. It is entirely possible that a .40S&W version could be in the works. Emphasis on "possible" and "could be"
What's on my wishlist? To not feel like the Goodyear blimp after my colonoscopy week after next.
Ed: No Shit!!!...
(I guess that's extremely poor terminology in this case, isn't it?)...

When I woke up from my colonoscopy, all I felt was hungry: went to sleep, they did it, I woke up. Of course, the night before was the hell you describe.
Yeah. The Model M reborn, definitely.
Main thing on my wish list would be a K32 Target Masterpiece; new ones would be a lot less expensive that any used one I can find.
I'd like to see Browning do an Ithaca 37 Riot Gun tribute with their fine BPS shotgun. Not an exact replica mind you, just an 18" improved cylinder barrel with a wooden stock and "ringneck" forend
Why settle for a blow-back .380 model 1908 when we could devise a locked breech recoil 9x19mm in the same form factor?
Dang, I need to get some CNC stuff...
